Product: CrowPanel Advance 7.0-HMI ESP32 AI display SKU: DIS02170A-1
Question:

How do I control the brightness of this display?

Is there any other possible way to do this please? I've tried using I2C to constantly toggle the backlight on/off in a separate thread, but this method is too slow and causes the screen to flicker badly.

Is there a circuit control method for brightness adjustment that I have yet to understand?

Answer:

The LED pin on the CrowPanel is connected to the pin on the pca9557. It is not possible to control the backlight through hardware pwm, only to control the light on and off.

Question:

Getting the touchpad and keyboard to work at the same time, the function key seems to be always on, even when I close it with F1 (I can't type “I”, it always turns to “5”). Also, the connection between the device and the phone is very unstable.

Answer:

1 Touchpad and Keyboard Use

The touchpad and keyboard can be used at the same time, but the touchpad may have been disabled. Try pressing F2 or Fn + F2 to enable or disable the touchpad.

2 Function Keys & Num Lock Problems

If Num Lock is enabled, pressing the "I" key may result in "5" being entered. Please press F12 or Fn + F12 to toggle Num Lock.

To enable or disable the Fn (function) key, press Fn + Esc instead of F1.
